Born Etienne H Kahe, on June 15, 1960, in the city of Sassandra located in the South- West of the West African country named Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), from both blue-collar worker parents. After the high School Diploma, I was sent to a three years training school for Teachers. I was a classroom Teacher from 1985 to 1989. While still developing my love for teaching, my interest for computers grew. In 1994, I decided to head to the USA for new knowledge in Computer Technologies.
Struggling with my new country of adventure, with a new language (English) because my country of birth the Ivory Coast is a former French colony, I only started school in 1998 at ITT Technical Institute of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Two years later I graduated with an Associate in Specialized Technology Degree with option: Electronics Engineering Technology. In 2001, my dream for computer Technologies, brought me to Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where in 2005, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science/Computer System Technology, a Master of Science in Leadership and Information Technology in 2007 . Even with my new knowledge in computer Technologies, I did not lose my old love and interest: Transfer knowledge by teaching others. I am presently at the School of Education of Duquesne University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania finishing a Master's Degree in Instructional Technologies.
While going to school, I gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the professional world by Internships, and working. I worked for companies such as Ikon Office Solutions, as software Installation Technicians, where I gained a lot of Hand-on experience in software behavior. An Internship at LifeCor, a medical devices company specialized in Heart defibrillator as a software tester helped me understands software and hardware troubleshooting.
During years, I learned computer Technologies, but I was missing one important aspect of being a technician or a code writer: Customer service. As technician or developer, we work for customers, so I think it is very important to learn very important customer service skills. So I joined in 2005, the world's biggest retailer, Wal-Mart as Sale Associate, where I hand up learning everything a computer technologist need in the professional world.
As hobby, I love transferring what I know to others, I love watching a soccer game with my family and friends, and most of all read about technology.I spend time researching new Immerging Technologies on an average of 5 hours daily.
